Model Minute: Kelli

SCHOOL: Skyline High School

My style right now is…Girly. I love soft, neutral colored sweaters and dresses, skirts paired with boots, and wedges when dressing up.

Favorite magazine: SKI Magazine

Favorite place to shop: Urban Outfitters [http://www.urbanoutfitters.com]

So “Right Now”…. Patagonia Fleeces, short boots, Aritzia sweaters, berry colored lipsticks, Starbucks Vanilla Cappuccinos, and Gossip Girl

My favorite color(s) is… Rosegold

My celebrity style icon is… Blake Lively- she can pull of anything from jeans and a tank top to cute sweater dresses! Plus her hair always looks amazing...

My favorite Studio B Model moment was… coming in after all of my photoshoots to see all of the portrait choices I had. The best way to describe the experience was a “good frustration”-  there were SO many unique and personality-capturing pictures to choose from which made it really difficult for me to narrow it down to my favorites.

Which Studio B photo (or outfit) do you love the most: I paired a short black dress with tall black boots. It may sound like a lot of black, but Brooke was able to capture the sparkle of the sequins in the detailing of the dress and contrast it with my newly-highlighted hair and a gorgeous backgrounds. Definitely one of my favorites!

Advice you would give to a Junior going into senior year… As I am approaching my second semester of senior year, there are three things that I have learned this year which I believe applies to almost everyone: start your college applications early, be involved, and be friendly. I started off senior year with the weight of learning the requirements for applying to colleges as well as the long process of filling out applications, writing essays, and studying for the ACT on top of the workload of some of the hardest classes I have taken throughout my high school career. To say I was overwhelmed and stressed out is an understatement. Most colleges release their application essays in the summer, and if you want to reduce some of your stress in September through November, outline what you think you want to write your essays about during the summer (starting the college essays is the hardest part). Secondly, be involved. Not one moment this year has led me to regret the extracurriculars I am involved in.  Opportunities like becoming a Link Crew leader, coaching a special needs cheerleading team, and becoming a ski instructor may not be available to me when I become a college student, and I can’t imagine not being a part of them now! Lastly, be friendly. I see so many people confining themselves to one friend group, but some of the best friends I have ever made have been the ones that I never expected myself to make friends with.

Anything else you’d like to share with your readers…. I’m not just saying this because I love Brooke and her bubbly personality, but she truly does have a talent not many other photographers have. If you want the best quality senior pictures that truly capture your personality and style, don’t waste time anywhere but Studio B.
