Dreaming of a White Christmas 2017

Each year my entire family comes together for our annual family Christmas photo shoot and here's what I learned this year. Choosing white on white for the color theme is clearly the quickest and most efficient way to have my extended family hate my guts (haha).  Frankly... I really don't care because it was so completely different than anything we've ever done and I am in love with the clean, modern look! (Cue Demi Lovato song... #SorryNotSorry)

Texture, style and sparkle were my go-to moves to keep the look fresh for the kiddos. For myself I went full "Rent The Runway."  If you are not familiar with this service... get ready to have your mind blown!

The Rent The Runway site features high end, designer outfits that you rent and return.  So absolutely perfect for photo shoots (obviously) but also really awesome for making a statement each and every time you have a special occasion or dressy event without wearing the same thing twice.

Flexibility with a really large group is the key to wardrobe success (visually and for your sanity)  Let's be honest, we're making a family portrait with 16 people ranging in age from 4 to 80... not solving world peace...so be open to the idea that not everyone is going to be 100% on board with your vision. My dream scenario was "white on white" - but in sharing the idea with my family I let them know that silver, cream or darker bottoms were perfectly fine. These color scheme options gave everyone the wiggle room to find something that suited their taste.
