Senior pictures are special (to state the absolute obvious) so we do a lot of preparation prior to our shoots. I had photographed senior portraits for Izzy's brother Jacob a couple years back and now that it was her turn -- we really wanted to bring it. Spoiler alert -- Izzy's sport is swimming (forgive me...it's Saturday, super sunny outside and clearly I'm feeling a little silly) The finished portrait had to showcase her strength, beauty and dedication to swimming so of course I did what every good photographer does... Googled GQ, Sports Illustrated and Vogue Magazine for inspiration. As you probably know, they have done spectacular features with Olympic and professional athletes but when all was said and done it was Izzy herself that brought the most perfect inspiration - herself.
We are absolutely in love with Karsyn's fun, fierce and fabulous style. Her chic blue dress was the definition of modern simplicity but the University Prep basketball star had a winning pre-session strategy and we knew you'd want the details for how she scored perfect senior pictures.
For all of our senior girls inspired to create something equally amazing, be sure to take a page from Karsyn's play book remembering these 3 Great Senior Pictures Tips:
1. Dress head to to for the most posing options that will have you feeling confident in full length, three quarters and close up portraits. Consider bra straps, shoe selection and everything in between.
2. We always recommend camera ready hair and make-up with out style team but you will also want to remember to moisturize and prep all skin for a gorgeous camera ready glow. (arms, legs and anything that will be on display)
3. Don't forget your nails - whether neutral or bold, you never know when they might make the frame so polish and/or buff without apology.
It does not get more All American than this senior photo shoot that we photographed with Courtney. The Mount Si High School Senior is a holiday baby so it seemed only fitting that she theme it out with sparklers and a flag pattern scarf.
We'll be bringing you much more from her shoot in the next few weeks because sincerely... it is amazing. Her Mom is a total pro in styling (Courtney is the 4th of 4 children so of course Mom is well practiced in killing all of the details in a senior pictures session)
Big thank you to Charina at Sorella Salon for Courtney's camera ready style.
Senior Pictures of this Forest Ridge High School girl in her stripe skirt and navy blouse just had us at Hello! Courtney is just a vision isn't she? Not a model but she certainly looks like one, she was stopping traffic on the busy streets of Issaquah and we just knew that she had to be featured here for her gorgeous Class of 2017 Senior Style.
Big thank you to Shelby for camera ready make-up and Wesley at Sorella Salon for her gorgeous hair styling and for introducing us to Courtney + her lovely Mom!
Using accessories to nail chic senior pictures style from head to toe looks easy when Class of 2017 Susanna does it, right? Equal parts cute silver toed kicks meets metal fringe necklace and geometric print skirt - done & done. Just kidding, we know it's not the slightest bit effortless... it's just awesome (and inspiring) so we had to share.
Oh and if you are oohing and awing over her amazing red hair -- we did too! Big thank you to Sorella Salon for her fabulous blow out and camera ready make-up.
We wanted to bring you more Fall inspired wardrobe ideas for all of the Class of 2015 gals that will photographing your Senior Pictures sessions with us during the Autumn Season. Tatiana from Eastside Catholic High School paired her pretty floral a-line skirt with a green cardigan that blended so well with the warm color palette of the outdoors during this time of year. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention her fabulous stying btw -- Thank you to Sorella Salon for another gorgeous camera-ready look.
In a million years I would never recommend a drastic color change 47 seconds before your senior pictures but darn it if Redmond High School Geni didn't go from red to dark brown within hours of her photo shoot and totally pull it off! She looks like a Greek Goddess in this white column dress and bold crimson lip -- so pretty! Big thank you once again to Sorella Salon for styling her pretty locks :-)
