Seattle raised and a Husky for life, I graduated from the University of Washington and moved to Southern California. A cool career in marketing, branding, and celebrity PR led me to meeting my husband and then to my journey as a professional photographer with Ford Models. That fast-tracked into amazing opportunities shooting for Disney, People Magazine, GQ, and Grammy-winning musicians. With our family expanding, we took a leap of faith and moved back to Seattle, giving birth to both our second baby girl and Studio B Portraits in the summer of 2006. Nineteen years, another baby, and two studio moves later, the dream I dared to put into the universe became real. While the work has taken me from magazine covers to high-profile campaigns, the real magic is simpler: helping people see themselves the way the world already does—brilliant, confident, and powerful.

Makayla is in her ninth year as a Studio B lead photographer. Prior to joining our team, she honed her craft as a wedding + engagement photographer.
This petite powerhouse is a posing and lighting expert, Makayla’s work has been featured on magazine covers, in the pages of Vogue and she is a frequent contributor to 425 Magazine fashion features.
In addition to crushing it behind the camera, Makayla is Studio B’s social butterfly with a full dance card of friends, game nights and creating epic charcuterie boards.

Elizabeth is our camera-ready lead stylist bringing 20 years of experience with Nordstrom and Chanel prior to joining our Studio B Salon team making magic with hair, makeup and men’s essentials services.
Liz lifts the mood of any room she enters, quick to laugh, share a compliment and bring out the best in everyone. She’s also a phenomenal Mom of two sweet babes.

Erin graduated from Seattle Art Institute and has been with Studio B for seventeen years.
The backbone of our product delivery and control systems, she is our behind the scenes master of operations + organization.
When she’s not at the studio, you’ll find Erin in the gym lifting weights, hiking and walking her fur baby Pippin.

More than just a handsome face, this smile is the brains behind all of our IT and wireless wizardry.
Father to three and husband to one lucky lady, this guy can often be found lifting weights at The Vault on Front street and playing basketball.
