Style Spotlight | Street Style x Sophisticated

Sami is the definition of casual confidence!  We absolutely love the way this Georgetown-bound track star represented both her relaxed, athletic side as well as her sweetly chic side in her wardrobe.  Take a peek at two of our favorites from her looks and see what our top three takeaways were from Sami's senior portrait experience!

Sami kept things sleek and timeless by dressing in all black basics for this first look, pairing it with classic white shoes.  Choosing distressed black denim and a comfortable top allowed for the highlight to land with her fabulous blush plush bomber jacket!  We're in love!

TAKEAWAY #1: Keeping your base layers monochromatic or within the same tones not only makes you look long and lean, but it also allows for easy layering with your outerwear!

Sami's second look features her favorite semi-formal floral dress.  The navy and nude color combination is to die for!  She maintained a minimalist look by choosing accessories that were in neutral tones, but their addition to her outfit polished the look with simplicity!

TAKEAWAY #2: Simplify your color palette for a strong statement!  Once you know your color (whether because it makes your eyes even more dreamy or because it compliments your skin tone), consider having it be the one pop in your look!

TAKEAWAY #3: Accessories don't need to be overpowering.  Whether your go-to is a fabulous necklace, chic watch, or trendy shoe, we LOVE the way accessories show off your personality.  Choosing one or two intentional pieces will elevate the sophistication of any outfit.
