Meet Sydney! This Bellevue senior is such a natural beauty that it seemed only perfect that the Seattle rain would subside for a few hours and give us a chance to steps outside for this sweet look in her knit, cream sweater and legging outfit. Big thank you to our inhouse make-up artist Tiffany for her fresh and and natural camera-ready make-up :-) I also posted a to-die-for studio shot that I know you will want to see on our Facebook here
It’s time for the second installment of our Senior Model Interview Series where we talked to some of our very favorite high school models from last years team to get their behind the scenes POV on their experience as a Studio B Portraits top model. This feature we're highlighting the gorgeous Morgan! If she's looking a bit familiar, it probably because you've seen her splashed across the front of our main Studio B website for the past year -- I absolutely adored this image of her because it fully captured and communicated the "You on Your Best Day" philosophy for every session I shoot here at Studio B.. And since we are currently casting for our NEW 2014 Studio B Seniors Model Team (Open to current High School Juniors) be sure to request an application at Studio B Seniors if you are (or know) and awesome gal or guy that would make a great model for Studio B Portraits! NAME: Morgan SCHOOL: Mount Si High School My style right now is… Does warm count...? :) Lovely Washington throws all kinds of weather at us this time of year, I've had fun playing with scarves and BIG SWEATERS. They are my current obsession. Jeans and boots are easy for the winter and being such a bargain shopper.. I like that I can find them for good deals once I start looking around.
Favorite retailer ... Forever 21! I got a lot of my new clothes for my Senior Pictures here and since it isn't too pricey, it makes it reasonable for a high school student! Plus, the new store in Bellevue Square makes a trip much more reasonable than driving to Southcenter, and the store is so big there's usually not a problem finding what I'm looking for!
So “Right Now”…. Like I said, I have a growing number of sweaters... The fall/winter is my favorite season to dress for because adding layers creates both warmth and cute outfits! Plus, it's easy! Jeans, boots, and sweaters and off to school :)
My favorite color(s) is… Blues/Purples, but I loved how my patterned outfits looked on camera! My favorite Studio B Model moment was… Trying to capture my student athletic trainer photographs... Having Brooke and Erin throw a football at my face while trying to keep my eyes open and not create tears from laughing so hard was nearly impossible. Who knew those "in action" shots weren't as easy as they look in magazines... But it was so much fun! I always felt comfortable, never awkward or tense when I was being photographed at Studio B because it was things like this that made the experience exciting and personable.
Describe your best Studio B photo (or outfit)... I have so many photos I like this question is nearly impossible.... BUT! I do absolutely love the image we took during my first session, in my black dress with my arm up laughing. (No it was certainly not a staged fake "laugh for the camera" photograph) When I saw that just having a good time had produced such a great picture I was super excited. I think it really captures my personality and the REAL me, not a posed robot being positioned through a senior photo. I also liked the outfit with my bright yellow pants! It was POURING DOWN RAIN outside, but somehow it ended up creating great lighting, plus the umbrella showed off just how unpredictable Washington weather can be!
Anything else you’d like to share …. Studio B made the senior photo experience a comfortable and exciting one. I was glad when I saw my pictures that they captured my personality and my style so perfectly. I would recommend anyone goes there, not only for the amazing photography, but because the people are just as great!!
Meet Lauren from West Seattle High School. Pretty hair, gorgeous green eyes and of course I'm loving the knit scarf but hands down my very favorite accessory is her most natural addition...her super sweet FRECKLES! I was excited that we had a break in the Seattle sprinkles to pop outside (sans umbrellas) and capture these senior pictures in the gorgeous morning North light.
So am I the only one that thinks that every gal should be able to channel her inner Beyonce? I mean, don't we all need to feel totally over-the-top Sasha Fierce at some point in our lives? In this first shot at the top...Senior Julia from Newport High School proved that she could pull it off in a simple white t-shirt and jeans! Of course it was not without lots of smiles and giggles in between (an actual requirement for a great senior photo shoot btw...THAT...and well, an industrial fan to get the glam blowing of the hair :-) ) Want to see more of our 2013 seniors? Be sure to check us out on Facebook and at Studio B Seniors.com
Meet Chimacum High School Senior Katelyn. If you're thinking "What? Where is that school on Seattle's Eastside?" Um...it's not. Clearly, I'm not breaking any ground by acknowledging how awesome the internet can be but it's particularly cool that because of our Studio B Seniors website, we get introduced to high school seniors from near and far. Katelyn and her awesome Mom traveled several hours round trip to shoot senior pictures with us and I could not have been any more thrilled that we had the pretty fall leaves to contrast her gorgeous electric blue dress.
Old Hollywood Glamour...that's exactly what I thought the moment I saw Delaney from Bonney Lake High School with her blonde curls and straw hat! We had the most perfect day to shoot and of course I couldn't be content to just share these sneak peeks so you'll find her gracing the cover our Facebook page here.
Oh and on a completely unrelated note: We are migrating our web servers this weekend so our senior website is temporarily unavailable. For any questions, please feel free to call 425-996-8711 or email via our contact page. Apologies for any inconvenience.
Oh fine whatever...guilty -- I must have told Ryan from Issaquah High School he was "SO cute" like 800 times. I don't know what it is about the Class of 2013 High School Senior boys but they are completely bringing the charm this season. (And actually...this guy's good looks and awesome personality run in the gene pool -- we photographed his beautiful cousin Caroline earlier this Summer and she's just a stunner too)
Sweet Sarah from Mercer Island High School with her easy smile was just SO darling in this little strapless denim dress for her senior pictures that when she added the little floral belted tie and cowboy boot I just knew this girl had style from head to toe! L-O-V-E it! (Big Thank You to our in house Studio B Portraits make-up artist Tiffany for Sarah's awesome camera-ready make-up)
I am SO totally in love with Iva's red geometric print dress! We went modern and glam in the studio...gotta love a fan! This International High School Bellevue gal has such an eye for style that I might have been tempted to take this little frock as a parting gift for myself :-) Also added one of our outdoor favorites from Iva's photo shoot on our Facebook page here.
So in walks Bellevue High School Senior beauty Natalie and my wheels immediately start turning (you know...the one where I know you look like someone famous but I just can't put my finger on it in the moment :-) ) Then it hits me...she's the younger version of French Super Model Laetitia Casta. (If you're sitting there and thinking "who?" ...it's okay, you may not know the name but you've most definitely seen her face on a million different advertising campaigns....click on her name and it will link you to pictures) We had the bet time ...and the best weather for Natalie's photo shoot -- I just adored this one above with the flowers and her gorgeous blue eyes & lashes!
